Ben is a highly regarded and enthusiastic chef with over 20 year's commercial experience in both high profile local restaurants such as Bilson's and International Michelin Star establishments such as the Mirabelle in Mayfair, London. Ben also teaches the chefs of the future at Ryde Tafe and put together Bar-Be School to share his knowledge and passion for food and entertaining.
sam sestito - office and event manager
Sam is one of our newest members of the team having come on board after answered an SOS call made to her from Ben because we value so greatly what she brings to the party. Sam has woked with Ben over many years with great success and her experience comes from having completed her Masters in Marketing and PR and stints at Impact and IRPR.
ALICE MAGON – junior Event & admin Co-ordinator
Alice is one of the newest members of our growing team and has recently moved from over New Zealand. Alice learnt the skills of her event management through her post graduate Diploma in Marketing achieving excellent results. Her passion for events has shown throughout her studies and she is extremely excited to have joined the team.

Jason Hannah - Chef presenter sydney
Jason is a highly experienced and talented chef having mastered his trade in restaurants such as The Pier in Rose Bay, Four in Hand in Paddington plus The avenue Restaurant in London. Jason also works closely with the chefs of tomorrow via his commitments to the Tafe students at Ryde College who benefit from his experience. Jason is a founding member of the Bar-Be School Team and his excellence with food has been shared by thousands of attendee's over the years.
Gerard d'Ombrille - Chef Presenter Sydney
Gerard has been a Chef for 16 years having mastered his craft at Bocca, and Head Chef at Hugo’s and Executive Chef at Amankila – a 6 star resort in Bali. Gerard moved back to Sydney in early 2010 and has been delighting students at Bar-Be school ever since.
Phil Matthews - Chef Presenter Sydney
Phil has been a chef for 20 years having worked both locally and internationally in highly regarded in both Sydney and London. Rhil has also worked closely in the catering world having cooked extensively for Royalty, Posh and Becks and David Bowie. He has also been Pete Evans right hand man for Hugo's catering and has been a key member of our facilitation for the past 18 months.
Jourdan Simmons - Chef Presenter Sydney
Jourdans experience over a 20 year period has seen him train in Syndey and up the East coast of Australia. He has work extensively with the Hugo's group over many years. Jourdan is a Seafood expert and (self proclaimed) master fisherman. Jourdan is a key member of our facilitation team and has been delighting attendee's to Bar-Be school for 18 months.

Tony Davis – Chef Presenter Brisbane+Gold Coast
Tony has been a fully qualified Executive Chef for 25 years having worked in some Queensland’s most recognised restaurants and resorts. Tony is currently Executive Chef at Cafe San Marco on the affluent South Bank in Brisbane to much acclaim. Tony joined our team in early 2010 and has been delighting the attendees in both Brisbane and Gold Coast and is sure to Wow you with his passion and knowledge for fine food and entertaining in style.

Ashley Hann - Chef Presenter Melbourne
Ashley has been a key member of our Melbourne BBQ School Team for 12 months and is our lead facilitator for classes and events. He has work extensively in the food and hospitality arena for many years and is certainly a recognised food educator. Ashley has been delighting the people of Melbourne every week at our classes and is sure to do so also when you next come to Bar-Be School.

carl barnes - Chef Presenter Melbourne
Carl has been a key member of our Melbourne BBQ School Team for the past number of months and is one of our lead facilitator for classes and events. Carl has worked extensively in both Ausatralia and Europe having worked with Marco Pierre White at Harvey in the 1990's plus many more restuarant and establishments to acclaim.Carl has been emparting his knowledge to the people of Melbourne at bar-Be School this year with great recognition..
